Julie Clemente is a mom of 9 (from two marriages, thank you!) and the author of the the upcoming book, "No Pause for Menopause; The Essential Guide to Life After Menopause."
Before turning to a focus on understanding and helping others understand menopause, her 25 years of experience focused primarily on financial accountability for developed and undeveloped properties, as well as turnaround and operating responsibility for commercial/retail operations.
In 2000, Ms. Clemente sold her interests in her operating companies to become President of CDC Consulting Group, Inc, a real estate management and business development company located in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia.
Current and recent recognitions/current board positions include Virginia Governor’s appointed Commissioner to the Virginia Port Authority (one of twelve statewide) (2010 to 2014); Fairfax County’s Board of Supervisors’ 2004 Volunteer of the Year; Fairfax County Board of Supervisors’ Lady Fairfax Award (2004); Founding Member of Virginia First Lady’s FLITE Initiative to support businesses throughout the Commonwealth (2010 to 2014); Founder and past-President of the Friends of Clemyjontri, Inc., a non-profit charity created to support Clemyjontri Playground in Fairfax County, VA, Virginia’s first all-inclusive playground (2006 to current)
Ms. Clemente graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from American University in Washington, DC, and she’s currently pursuing an MPH at George Mason University. She resides with her husband in McLean, VA
Dr. Marilyn C. Jerome
Dr. Marilyn C. Jerome has practiced obstetrics and gynecology with Foxhall Ob- Gyn Associates in Washington, D.C. since 1982. She graduated summa cum laude from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1974. She then attended the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and graduated in 1978, a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Jerome completed her residency at the George Washington University Hospital in 1982. She served on the voluntary faculty of GW and taught residents and students as a Clinical Professor. She is now a mentor for GW medical students in the Department of Global Health. Dr. Jerome is a member of the North American Menopause Society and in her practice, focuses on menopause, genetic cancer screening, and osteoporosis.
Dr. Jerome has received recognition yearly as one of Washingtonian Magazine's Best Doctors, and has also been named one of the Best Doctors in America. She was named to the Genetics Advisory Board of the State of Virginia Board of Health.
Dr. Jerome has served on the Board of the Jesuit Refugee Service, and currently serves on the board of Nyumbani, USA, a non-profit which supports orphans in Kenya infected and affected by the HIV virus. She is also a member of the Medical Reserve Corps of Fairfax County.
Dr. Jerome is married to John Foust who is an attorney and sits on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors as the Dranesville District representative. She has two sons. Her interests include travel and gardening.
